Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the website, software and mobile applications published by The Light Society, including Dr. Alfred (the "Services"). By using the Services you agree to these Terms.

1. The Services

The Light Society develops and operates software-as-a-service platforms and mobile apps for the hospitality and marketing industries. We may add, change or discontinue features at any time.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of majority where required, to use the Services.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Services: no unlawful, fraudulent or abusive activity; no attempts to access systems or data without authorization; no reverse engineering, except where law allows it; and no interference with the Services or other users.

4. Business customers

Hotels, resorts and other businesses that subscribe to our platforms do so under a separate agreement. If that agreement conflicts with these Terms, the agreement prevails.

5. Third-party services

The Services may connect to third-party services (for example, payment processors, messaging apps, or a hotel's own systems). Their terms apply to your use of them. Services a hotel provides to you — rooms, dining, amenities — are the hotel's responsibility.

6. Intellectual property

The Services, the Dr. Alfred and The Light Society names and logos, and all related software and content are owned by The Light Society or its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the Services under these Terms.

7. App stores

If you download our apps from the Apple App Store or Google Play, these Terms are between you and The Light Society, not Apple or Google. The Light Society, not Apple or Google, is solely responsible for the apps and their content. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for our apps. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use must also comply with the store's usage rules.

8. Disclaimer

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, The Light Society will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time and request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of Mexico, unless mandatory consumer law in your country provides otherwise.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with its date; continued use after changes means you accept them.
